Update on Infinity Tech Robotics Team
BY SHAUNA ANDERSON

Facing off against over 300 of the best robotics teams in the world, P-CCS middle school students from the Infinity Tech Robotics team made history in their performance at the 2026 FIRST World Championship in Houston, TX. As the first P-CCS middle school team to advance to this level of competition, Infinity Robotics finished their season with an impressive 35-10 overall record and advanced throughout the championship to their division playoffs.
“Our team performed much better than we expected, winning 9 of our 10 matches and finishing in third place at the end of qualifiers, where we then progressed to playoffs as an alliance captain,” stated Parth Masukar.
The world championship brought students together from across the globe. “It was great to partner with teams from all over the world, such as ones from Kazakhstan, China, and teams from the other U.S. states. Our overall experience was great and we hope to return even stronger next season,” explained Surya Rajendran.
“I learned that no matter who you work with, the outcome might be better than expected if you are willing to work together.” - Surya Rajendran, 7th Grade
Their competitors brought a wide range of approaches to each match. Luke Courson noted, “The other competitors were very diverse! Many different teams focused on many different aspects with unique strategies making matches very interesting.”
In fact, to prepare for the event, the team built a completely new robot to replace the one that brought them to the championship. “Though building, designing, and coding it would be tough, (we knew) the payoff would be worth it…Just 2 weeks before we headed down to Texas, we had a fully completed second robot, Spinfinity, ready for competition,” Masukar explained.
Infinity Tech Robotics continues to inspire collaboration and foster experiential opportunities for STEM learning. Through design, programming, and community outreach, they aim to inspire the next generation of engineers and problem-solvers. Fans can follow their journey on Instagram @infinitytechrobotics13684.
